Jeffrey G. Gold
Former President and CEO, CryoVascular Systems, Inc.

After graduating from Northeastern University in Boston with a BS in Industrial Engineering, Jeffrey Gold attended the University of Florida where he received his MBA in Quantitative Management and Operations Research. He worked with General Electric Company as the manufacturing operations engineer until 1978 when he joined Cordis Corporation. At Cordis, he worked as the program manager for Angiographic Systems, after which, he became Vice President of Manufacturing in 1982. In 1991, he became Vice President of Research and Development. While working at Cordis, he managed the successful entry of Cordis Corp. into the highly competitive interventional cardiology (PCTA) market. In 1993, Mr. Gold became the President of Cordis Endovascular Systems, Inc. He was responsible for all functional elements of this entrepreneurial start-up company. In less than two years, Cordis Endovascular Systems, Inc. gained significant share from the market leader to attain a clear number two position in the U.S. market.

Currently, Mr. Gold holds five US patents and recently served as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, CardioThoracic Systems Inc. at Cupertino, CA. Mr. Gold was responsible for all internal operating activities. He also restructured the R&D, manufacturing, product assurance, regulatory and product marketing functions into a cross functional team configuration resulting in a significant increase in products introduced to the target market.
