than 20 years working with healthcare startups. Mr. Dann has served as
a venture capitalist, advisor, entrepreneur and executive in the
healthcare field.
Sapient
Network
The
Sapient Network, is a distinguished group of healthcare experts
comprised of physicians, executives, entrepreneurs and professionals.
In
this day and age, there is no shortage of available information.
When information is understood, it becomes knowledge and when good
judgement is applied to knowledge, it is wisdom. We are quick to
recognize the limitations of our own ability to understand all the
information, which may affect a company's prospects. To enhance
understanding and judgement, we look to and call upon the Sapient
Network.
The
Sapient Network members assist the fund through their understanding
of markets, scientific industry developments and identifying investment
opportunities. In addition, the Sapient Network helps companies
understand trends and to build connections within the healthcare
industry.

Hopkins, MD., Lee
Guterman, Ph.D., M.D., and Jeffrey
Gold. Drs. Hopkins and Guterman are both on the staff of
State University of New York at Buffalo. Both are clinical experts in
interventional procedures. Jeffrey Gold, President and CEO of
CryoVascular Systems, formerly Chief Operating Officer at
CardioThoracic Systems which is now part of Guidant (NYSE:GDT), has 25
years of experience developing innovative medical devices in key growth
areas.
